چکیده
Crash frequency analysis is a crucial tool to investigate traffic safety problems. With the objective of revealing hazardous factors which would affect crash occurrence, crash frequency analysis has been undertaken at the macroscopic and microscopic levels. At the macroscopic level, crashes from a spatial aggregation (such as traffic analysis zone or county) are considered to quantify the impacts of socioeconomic and demographic characteristics, transportation demand and network attributes so as to provide countermeasures from a planning perspective. On the other hand, the microscopic crashes on a segment or intersection are analyzed to identify the influence of geometric design, lighting and traffic flow characteristics with the objective of offering engineering solutions (such as installing sidewalk and bike lane, adding lighting). Although numerous traffic safety studies have been conducted, still there are critical limitations at both levels. In this dissertation, several methodologies have been proposed to alleviate several limitations in the macroand micro-level safety research. Then, an innovative method has been suggested to analyze crashes at the two levels, simultaneously.

Introduction: Inappropriate performance of delivery care team is one of the most important causes of maternal mortality. Lack of objective tools, reduces the opportunity for a systematic valid evaluation in clinical examinations. Therefore, this study investigated the reliability and validity of assessment tools in comprehensive final examination of midwifery students at the end of their educat...

Introduction: Assessment tools of academic achievement in the field of surgery have always been received considerable attention. The issue that has received less attention is that which one of these methods has higher efficiency to cover appropriately educational objectives in surgical groups. This survey aimed to evaluate the results of three examinations (including OSCE, in-group educational ...
متن کاملProsodic changes pre-announcing a syntactic completion point in Japanese utterance
In this paper we aim to clarify that participants of conversation can predict whether an utterance includes grammatical terminal elements, which have been referred to as the utterance-final elements (UFEs) in Japanese. We carried out perceptual experiments with Japanese utterances missing a part close to their end. The results showed that subjects distinguished whether an UFE follows at the ver...
متن کاملON THE SYSTEM OF LEVEL-ELEMENTS INDUCED BY AN L-SUBSET
This paper focuses on the relationship between an $L$-subset and the system of level-elements induced by it, where the underlying lattice $L$ is a complete residuated lattice and the domain set of $L$-subset is an $L$-partially ordered set $(X,P)$. Firstly, we obtain the sufficient and necessary condition that an $L$-subset is represented by its system of level-elements. Then, a new representat...
